Tomáš Strapec

Tomáš Strapec has been providing legal services since 2011 and joined Bartosik Svaby as an associate attorney in 2018.

His practice primarily focuses on M&A transactions, real estate and development, start-up investments (representing both investors and start-up companies, (including their founders), as well as client representation in court proceedings.

Tomáš has extensive experience in M&A transactions, providing comprehensive legal support to both Slovak and international clients throughout the entire process of buying and selling businesses — whether through asset deals or share deals involving major Slovak companies. He typically participates on transaction structuring, leads legal teams during the due diligence phase and plays an active role in transaction negotiations. Tomáš is also recognized for his strong drafting skills in preparing transaction documentation. His M&A work further includes experience with merger control filings before the Antimonopoly Office.

In the area of real estate and development, Tomáš advises investors and developers on residential and commercial (particularly office) projects. He provides end-to-end legal support throughout the development cycle — from land acquisition and permitting processes, through construction, to the sale of units or the developer's exit from the project. His work primarily involves the analysis of specific legal issues arising during the permitting process, as well as the drafting, negotiation, and revision of contracts with suppliers and the preparation of contractual documentation for end customers.

He is also active in the start-up space. During his practice, he gained experience not only in advising investors who are interested in supporting start-up companies and investing free funds in the development of these companies, but also in representing the interests of their founders.

In addition, Tomáš is also experienced in representing clients in court proceedings.

Tomáš is fluent in Slovak, and English.
