General Data Protection Regulation

We would like to inform you about new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) that will come into effect as of 25th of May 2018.

This new EU regulation introduces stricter rules in the area of personal data protection within company processes and also severe potential fines in case a company, operating on European market, is not compliant with the given rules.

These new rules will affect your company if your company:

  • has a payroll and HR department providing support to its own employees
  • uses a database for marketing communication purposes
  • transfers data between or among entities
  • processes data for the purpose of your company or in the name of another company as a specified service or
  • has a database containing client data.

The new regulation, apart from the legal aspect, requires also certain changes in the current company setup of processes and the way personal data is handled.

We have, therefore, teamed up with our alliance partner, the consulting company Mazars, which has a local team with relevant skills, experience and certifications (such as Certified Data Protection Officer, Certified Information Systems Auditor, LSS Black Belt). Together with Mazars we can help to align your company with the conditions and changes that new regulation requires/brings.

Please contact us if we can be of any help on this front.
